Description

“First Light” with new scope - Stellarvue SVX 130T - R (FL 920 mm / .84 as/px).  Round stars in all the corners - good sign. This scope has almost twice the focal length and twice the resolution of my original 80mm. I think the resolution is the near the max that my local seeing will usually allow. Image detail seems to be better than my last scope - 102 mm - so cropping will be possible. Guiding seems a little looser but still within .4 -.6 as/px.

NGC7129 - reflection Nebula in dusty Milky Way area of Constellation Cepheus The King. About 3,000 LY away.
Blue is reflection of new born stars. Tiny red crescents at 10 & 5 o'clock are HH objects - hydrogen gas shocked by energetic jets of energy from new star formation. NGC7142 - towards bottom left - is older star cluster.

Did not try to minimize the stars during processing and did not crop the image.
